Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, will compete in Singapore wearing a Master Chief helmet

Gamers who watch Lando Norris, a McLaren driver, closely over the Singapore GP race weekend may come across a recognizable pattern. By mimicking the armor style of the Halo character, the British driver is effectively wearing the Master Chief mask.

The announcement of a collaboration between Halo Championship Series (HCS), the official tournament circuit for Halo Infinite backed by Microsoft and 343 Industries, and Quadrant, Lando Norris’ esports squad, is the cause for the unique helmet.

One of the top European teams in the game is Quadrant, which has four French professional athletes on its roster. Quadrant was just named the ninth HCS partner overall.

For the company, this is a crucial step. One of the rights and benefits of being an official HCS partner is the ability to sell in-game official skins, organize tournaments, and engage in a variety of activation opportunities.

The squad was eliminated very early in the playoffs at the most recent Major in Orlando, Florida, and lost the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship, which took place later in October. Despite this setback, the team’s future appears promising with this new alliance.
