Tekken 8 Reveals Nina Williams Gameplay

Bandai Namco announces that Tekken 8 will have a closed alpha test period as well as the return of Nina Williams to the roster. This information was revealed at the most recent Tekken World Tour 2022 Global Finals after producer of the Tekken series Katsuhiro Harada had teased it back in December. He played down the prospect at the time because the Tekken 8 marketing team called it “crazy.” The introduction of Nina Williams was one of several announcements made at the esports competition.

Since making her debut in the first game, Nina Williams has been a cult favorite in the Tekken series. She is an assassin like her sister and has a cold, distant disposition, which makes her the ideal enforcer and bodyguard for the Mishima Zaibatsu group. She will be a returning warrior with a brand-new attire, which is not surprising.

In the opening scene of Nina’s reveal trailer, Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima engage in a punch that is reminiscent of the Tekken 7 scenario. Nina then enters the scene carrying two handguns along with a purple dress, sunglasses, and a leather jacket. The gameplay of Nina in Tekken 8 is then demonstrated, showing how she uses a combination of martial arts and her handguns to keep the offensive on her foe.

In conjunction with this reveal, Bandai Namco disclosed that a closed alpha test will be held in a limited number of sites worldwide. These Tekken 8 tests are being conducted to obtain feedback on the game’s mechanics and combat, which will be utilized to improve the gameplay. The first will take place during EVO Japan 2023, and players who want to try it out must sign up for the Tekken 7 tournament and submit an application on a unique website that will go live later this month. If there are numerous candidates, a drawing will be held to determine who will take the test.
