Teddy Teuma the first ever Maltese to get a ‘Gold’ on FIFA

After a number of eye-catching performances with his domestic club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Maltese International Teddy Teuma is making history yet again by being the first ever Maltese National to feature as a ‘Gold’ in the upcoming FIFA 23.

The French-born 28-year old spent his early career days in the lower leagues of French football with spells at Hyères in the Championnat de France Amateur and Boulogne in the Championnat National. On 27 July 2018 however, in the first matchday of the 2018–19 season, Teuma made his Ligue 2 debut with Red Star F.C. in a 2–1 home defeat to Niort.

In January 2019, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise were impressed with his Ligue 2 performances and made a move to sign Teuma in a bid to strengthen their squad and make a shot at reaching the top tier of Belgian Football.

Since then, Teuma has been performing admirably with the most remarkable performance being a fairytale debut in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers when he netted the opener as his team beat Scottish giants Rangers 2-0 in their third qualifying round first leg tie.
