The second chapter in the VR game series The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, titled The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, will be available on November 18. The declaration was made on October 11 during the Meta Connect presentation. The iconic comic book series’ universe, complete with legions of zombies and challenging decisions, will be brought to life for gamers in The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners games. A sequel is now imminent and will be released soon.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, which debuted in 2020 to largely favorable reviews, is frequently cited as a prime example of what VR can achieve for gaming, such as changing how certain weapons must be held through the development of a weapon weight system. The PlayStation VR2 version of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution has been announced to be coming for some time, but it won’t be published this year. This year seems to be devoted to the Meta Quest 2 and the first PlayStation VR, instead.
On December 1, 2022, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution will be made available on Meta Quest 2 and the first PlayStation VR. Despite the PlayStation VR2’s announcement, that system is scheduled to launch in early 2023, so it’s plausible that the PlayStation VR2 version may follow suit. Fans who only own PS5 consoles will have to wait until the PlayStation VR 2 launches and until the game’s official release date because Sony revealed earlier this year that there will be no backwards compatibility between the PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR 2.
The beginning of the clip, which is less than a minute long, indicates that the player is once again referred to as the “Tourist.” The game’s grenade launcher, assault rifle, close-combat pair of knuckle blades, and even a chainsaw are all seen off in the video. Wherever the Tourist walks, death ain’t far behind, the trailer’s menacing narrator warns viewers, and the footage clearly demonstrates this by featuring several walkers and tools for eliminating them. It was announced in January of this year that The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution will be released in less than two months.
Since the PlayStation VR2 has not yet been released, it is probably safe to assume that the release date for that version of the game has not been disclosed. 2022 was a year full of game delays, with Skull & Bones being postponed until March 2023, for example. However, PlayStation VR and Meta Quest 2 VR game players will have something to hope for this Christmas season.
