Malta secures its Division 1 spot in the FIFAe Nations Series 2023

The Malta eNational Team kicked off their FIFAe Nations Cup campaign on Thursday when they took part in their first Play-In of the series.

Malta faced the Netherlands, England, Hungary and Czech Republic over the course of Thursday and Friday in Europe’s Conference 2 Division 1, managing to obtain a total of 7 points, enough to secure its spot in the highest division.

The top two teams will advance to the FIFAe Nations Playoffs after three rounds of Play-Ins, while the other positions will be filled in April during the FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers, which will pit new competitors against those who didn’t advance from the top spots.

The Playoffs will then determine the 24 nations who will feature at the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 next summer.

Matches in the FIFAe Nations Series are played in a 2v2 format, with the Maltese contingent featuring the current Malta BOV ePremier League Champion, Luke Bartolo, along with Gianluca ‘Turbuleense’ Sant and Shaun ‘Brandsha’ Galea.
