Apple reveals MacBook Pro featuring M2 Pro and M2 Max

Apple unveiled new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max, its most advanced professional silicon that offers professional users even more power-efficient performance and battery life. The new MacBook Pro can handle demanding operations such as effects rendering, up to 6x faster than the fastest MacBook Pro with an Intel processor, and color grading, which is up to 2x faster.

For the first time since switching to IBM PowerPC chips in 2006, Apple introduced the original M1 chip for the 2020 MacBook Air, marking the end of the company’s reliance on Intel CPUs in its laptops and iMacs. The new iPhone 14, which is powered by an Apple A15, is an example of how Apple has long used its own silicon in mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad.

Orders for the new Apple MacBook Pro series and the Mac Mini can be placed in the US and selected countries; deliveries are expted to start on January 24th, 2023. The base M2 chip version of the new Mac Mini costs $599, while the M2 Pro version costs $1299. Regarding the MacBook Pro, prices for the 14-inch M2 Pro model start at $1999 and $3499 for the M2 Pro.
