The charming hessian humanoid from PlayStation will appear in the upcoming Ultimate Sackboy, which is set to be released for iPhone and Android devices on February 21. The release date for Ultimate Sackboy was revealed by the developer and publisher Exient, a UK and Malta based video game developer, famous for their original title Lemmings.
In addition to a number of head-to-head challenges, races, and adversaries to defeat in exchange for a sizable wardrobe of apparel and other cosmetic things, the mobile app features miniature racetracks for Sackboy and his friends to gallop along.
The mobile game has been in development for some time, and Google Play listings for it first surfaced last summer, though Sony never made an official announcement at the time. Before that, talk about Ultimate Sackboy first surfaced in the public sphere in May 2021 and has previously been available for Android and iOS as part of closed testing in selected markets, including Australia, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and Malta.
