Activision has released a patch for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 following the release of Season 01 Reloaded one month ago. Frequent maintenance upgrades are particularly crucial given the volume and frequency of content releases for both games. Neither Modern Warfare 2 nor Warzone 2’s gameplay will be altered by this patch, but it should address some annoying, persistent technical problems.
The launch of Season 01 Reloaded for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 led to a variety of big and small technical issues. Game crashes were understandably the most frustrating common issue, but there were also many smaller problems related to both games’ battle pass, the Gunsmith, user interface glitches, and much more. The list of smaller issues is surprisingly long, which is perhaps unsurprising given the size of both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
As always, despite the fact that the most recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 update includes a number of significant bug fixes, there is still much that needs to be fixed. Patches should resume their regular schedule now that everyone has returned from the holidays. Between now and the anticipated mid-February premiere of Season 02, which is expected to raise a number of fresh issues, there will hopefully be additional updates.
