Malta Esports Association announces the National Circuit 2023: Tekken

The Malta Esports Association announced a cooperation with its members which will see a new and exciting way to elect the best Maltese Tekken player to represent the country in international competitions.

Since 2020, the Malta Esports Association has collaborated with chosen association members to co-host a national qualifier to choose the national champion who would represent Malta in international events. Moving forward however, the Malta Esports Association is pleased to introduce a new method for representative selection for events taking place all year round.

Rankings on the National Circuit are determined by points. Members and associates of the Malta Esports Association are permitted to hold Tekken events with its consent. Depending on the requirements completed by the event, points will be awarded to competitors based on their final standing.

The first round of competitions will take place from January 1 through March 31, 2023. Players will compete in Tekken tournaments over these three months, earning circuit points. On March 31, the player with the highest ranking will be picked to represent Malta in the European Regional Qualifiers for the IESF World Championship, which will take place in Iasi, Romania.
