The Blast Premier World Final took place at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi over the weekend, and G2 Esports were declared champions after getting the better of following Team Liquid in the grand final.
Eight of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams in the world competed for a $1 million prize pool in the five-day event, which was part of a three-year cooperation between Blast and Abu Dhabi Gaming.
The event was make or break for both G2 Esports and Team Liquid, as neither had a single tournament win to their name this year heading into the grand final.
G2 Esports however stepped up for the occasion as they comfortably won without conceding a single match, winning Inferno with a 16-7 domination before taking Mirage through a 16-12 win.
