HBO releases the first trailer for “The Last of Us”

On September 26, The Last Of Us Day, HBO released the first teaser for the much awaited movie based on the popular video game from Naughty Dog. Some of the more memorable parts of the 2013 championship are featured in the footage, which lasts little over a minute and a half. It has a spectacular opening outbreak scenario, a leaning building from an early level, and the distinctive sound of a Clicker. It appears that the program will also make use of the Left Behind expansion.

The Last of Us is a video game that chronicles the narrative of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsay). The two go across a near-future US that has been destroyed by a fungus that converts its victims into hostile, zombie-like monsters. The spooky tone of the game is effectively captured in the trailer.

HBO clearly has big expectations for the show. It concluded a lengthy sizzle trailer featuring new projects last month by showing the first episode of the program. The Last of Us will make its HBO and HBO Max debut in the first half of 2023, while there is no set release date as of yet.
